I have been SUPER quiet lately. Mostly because my energy has been put towards getting better. This cold has knocked me down and all around. But I am also finding a little bit of enjoyment outside of the computer. I hope to be back on the blogging/flickr wagon again soon, but I am not sure. This might have been the break that I needed and the down time that I needed.
I hope you are all well. Thank you all for the well wishes and the 'get better soons' they mean a ton!
be well my friends...

day88-cookie baking
The Kid-O was down for a nap for 3+ hours this afternoon and hubby was out playing b-ball with the boys. I basicly had the house to myself. I layed down to take a nap but the chocolate chips in the pantry were yelling at me and so I made cookies instead.

Off to a good start

The day got off to a little bit wonky start. Daddy-O got the tummy ick that I had last week and was down all day. The baby gave me only about 4.5 hours of sleep last night and so I was pretty exhausted this morning. However, my mom came to the rescue and took our little busy body for the afternoon so we could get a nap. After a nice little snooze I felt the need to get out and enjoy some fresh air.

What a lovely day it was out there. I even found a little love in a puddle of melting snow. Totally turned the day around and filled me up with hope.

New Years Eve
Spent last night with some of my best girlfriends and their men folk. We had a yummy dinner, played poker and laughed.
I had my 50mm lens on so I am blaming that for the soft focus of my dearest friends...It could have been that we were laughing so hard that I wasn't quite seeing straight, or the fact that I sat thru a 3 hour 3-d movie (you know what one) prior to this and still hadn't visually recovered from it all...
Why do I always forget my tripod and remote when I go places? That so would have helped out with this shot.
It is still super fun non the less and I am so glad that these girls (and their guys) have been in my world for so long (Heather since 7th or 8th grade and Em since birth).
xo
Here is to a beautiful new year filled with laughter and good friends!
