So my brain is on food right now. (yeah your pregnant, when aren't you hungry? you might be asking)
But what I am after is food that I can prep now, toss in the freezer and have easily at hand for when Deuce-baby arrives. For those lunch times and dinner times when have no energy to prep and cook, but are starving and need to eat.
I have a few good recipes (enchiladas, lasagna, calzones...) that freeze well but I am wondering if you guys out there have suggestions of favorite freezer-friendly dishes? I would love the recipes!
So, tell me friends, what do you like to make and freeze for later?

Good old pizza does wonders, but it's a little cumbersome to make completely homemade. I'm a huge dessert person, so I like to make my own frozen yogurt flavors by blending vanilla yogurt and strawberries and freezing it in cups. Instant yummy treat!
ReplyDeletewell, this might be obvious, but soups are great. and so are any sort of rice and bean or curry concoctions. just add the citrus in after you defrost. you could also make up a few balls of pizza dough to have on hand for a quick pizza night.
ReplyDeleteyou're inspiring me... maybe a "freezes well" category is in order.
