One of my goals this year was to get out the film camera again and shoot with it- as well as be brave enough to send in the film. I did it, and I am going to do it again, I am really loving this process...
I am using a yard sale find Pentax w/ a 50mm lens. I loaded two rolls wrong while on the trip and they ended up not having anything on them. I am a tad bummed about it since that is a lot of images that are now only framed in my mind, but I won't be messing around with my film loading again any time soon- why do we have to screw up to learn something? oh well.
I am shooting fully manual and w/o a light meter with this camera, so it was sort of hit and miss with getting the right exposure. I do really like the way I have to slow down and realized just how bad I am at 'chimping' my shots after I take them. You don't realize it until you kept seeing the back of the a camera body and not a screen with your photo!
Here are a few of my shots from our camp trip....
My goodness, the one with the little girl is phenomenal. Fantastic.
ReplyDelete@Ani thank you! I was so happy with the majority of this roll! I went to Costco, btw :)
