one year ago I looked like this...

memory lane...

we are three days away from the big day. The first trip around the sun, the first 365, the first year for our stellar little boy. It is hard to believe. Time has warped- it has sped up, slowed down and has lost its meaning. Day is night, night is day and 24 hours just aren't enough, I could watch him for hours on end and not get bored of it.
being a mama is amazing.

We are gearing up for a big party this weekend that should be really fun. Lots of friends and family, bubbles, birthday crowns and cake (I am making a chocolate and a yellow (scroll to the bottom of the post for the recipe)). I am especially excited about the fact that there will be water to splash in, lounging on the back patio and grilling of dogs and burgers- all things this December mama never got to have on her birthday since there was usually snow on the ground!

being pregnant all through the summer is certainly miserable... but the babe will enjoy his birthday being at this time for the rest of his life. ;-D

Oh my GOD!!! Happy early Birthday to Mr O!!!

I hear you on the December birthday, I was born 3 days after Christmas and it was always spent indoors. I was always jealous of the kids who got to go to amusement parks and such.

You are right! Being a Mama IS amazing.
