Christmas Reading

I am totally late to the bus on this week's corner view but I think this fits in nicely, the theme this week was "Books".

~~Earlier this week pulled out all my holiday books from when I was a kid. I thought I only had one or two but was surprised to find about 8 or 9! I love the art in these and the stories take me back to being a kid again.

Speaking of being a kid, one of the elementary school choirs came to our office today and sang for us. It about killed me from the cute. I don't' think I have smiled that big for so long in ages. Just seeing all the expressions (from "I am so over this" to "future American Idol") and the crackly high pitched, yet beautiful voices belting out some of my seasonal favorites-It was pretty sweet.

We used to do a holiday program and I remember getting really excited and dressed up for it. I still remember some of those songs and have been singing them to MrO lately. He loves it and once I am done he tells me, "moah"?(more) which totally makes my day since my voice is one only a baby could love, tee hee.

In other news, the temps have warmed up here and the snow has conviently turned into one gigantic slushy. Imagine trying to drive your car on a road made of a 7-11 slurpee and you would just about have it right. I got stuck about 3 times on my own street today- I was way better off when it was ice out there. Who knew? I can't complain about the sunshine though and the mountains look amazing out there all soft and white in their snow blanket.

For more corner viewing, head on over to Jane's for the linkage.

  2. I can just see Mr. O's inquisitive little face when he says "moah" :) And the mountains in the sun . . .I can see those clearly in my mind too.
    Such blessings!

My daughter loves when I sing to her at bed time (but I can see the boys hiding under their blankets!). I also still have some books from my own childhood.
