possibilities

162:366, possiblities

I had so much fun and inspiration from the 6 weeks of NOW YOU, that I decided to continue on with another online course. (They are starting a second go of this if you are interested in joining the summer session. I hear spaces are limited, so click that link!)

The "Inner Excavation Along" will have us playing with photography, paper, washi tape, words, colored pencils, more words, digging into our heads and learning more about who we are and what makes us feel inspired.

I am feeling good about this small space that a journal can provide. I don't have much room for things like my sewing machine in our current living situation, so the 8.5x11 pages are going to be where I stretch and grow.  It will feel good to write, draw and get a little messy within the pages.

journal prepping.

I have decided that the photos I put in this journal will be primarily polaroid. It is a great way to get me using my Land Camera and the SX-70  more. Plus, they will provide an instant print to add in the pages. I might sneaks some instagram photos in there as well. Something about the gritty feel these photo mediums provide feel right for a journal.

two turn tables

This is my summer camp and I feel just as excited as I used to get as a kid when I would be heading off to camp. What about you, are you diving into any creative projects, challenges or spaces this summer?

  1. Hello! I love your beginning here ... especially as I also am having fun with my sx-70 and have one snap in my spread for this first week's prompt. Your photo of the handful of sharp, new, bright colored pencils really captures the sense of anticipation, possibilities, and excitement (yes, I do drool when I am in art stores ... confectioner's shops for the creative!) I look forward to seeing what you do in the coming weeks. I just started a project with a mini-journal and quickie spontaneous sessions drawing/coloring/writing within it. Perfect for summer!
