It's been a LONG time since I posted a photobooth shot.
This one was taken in the spring at the Board Walk in Santa Cruz, CA. Sadly, the 'real' photobooth is gone and only the digital booths remain. But we jumped in anyway...

Can I even tell you how much I LOVE this strip? nope, there are not words.

It's a real deal booth, none of this digital stuff.

We may have gotten kicked out because of the fact that it is a bar and we brought in the kids. Little J can proudly say she was booted from a bar at a month old. MrO has been in there before with us and we even had a beer afterwards, so I don't know what the big deal was. and if there is any state that probably doesn't have a law about kids in a bar with an adult it would be Nevada right? oh well.

photobooth friday- keeping it loco(al)

it was only a matter of time.
one of the new, hip bars downtown was bound to do it sooner or later.
thank goodness I have friends on the "outside" who can fill me in on the haps around town.
There is a real-deal, black and white, film photo booth in Reno.

Start saving your ones if you are coming to visit because I might just have to drag you down there for a sitting.

I hit up St. James Infirmary on Cinco de Mayo with two of my girls (also photo booth lovers. we have a history) for margaritas and a visit.
(can't find a website, but they are located on California Ave just east of Arlington Ave, 445 California Ave if you want to get technical)

The booth was calling our names and it was only a matter of time before the margaritas were nothing but ice and a squeezed lime and the dollar bills were burning a hole in our pockets.
So there we were, all three squishing into the box- just like old times.
(some how I managed to totally take over this strip... sorry chicas!)



I have made a request to go back this weekend with the kid in tow (yeah, he's going into a bar, what?) for a little Mother's Day session.

In memory of...

A little gem I found while hubby was rooting through pictures to put into a celebration of life slide show for her.
She was 90 years old and a very sweet woman. She will be missed.
I have no idea where/when/why this shot was taken. She looks to be in her 20s or 30s though.
I was sad that it ripped when we took it off the poster board it had been on, but I doctored it back together and scanned it in for keeping.

Feel the burn, and birthday boothin

Last night the girls met me downtown after I got my haircut to wander around Cal Ave*. It was the annual "Holiday Stroll" last night. complete with the gang from Controlled burn and the double Dutchers earning money for the Holland Project (all such cool things that happen in our city)
It was cold.cold.cold. but we managed to wander around and see a few peeps that we know. One of them was participating in the fire dancing- who knew that he had this hidden talent?
We hopped in and out of shops, checking them out (there have been a few new shops and changes in stores over the past few months). Not only did we look at all the goodies, but we needed to warming up from the cold.



This booth strip is from Tuesday night. After my birthday dinner, Mr. Noodle and I headed over to the mall and hopped in the booth. Despite the fact it is a digi booth, I adore this strip. (bonus with the digi-strip is that you get two identical strips, good for the sharing)

*If you aren't from Reno and are here for a visit, take a break from the casino action and head over to California Ave. There are lots of great shops, good food, a bar, a salon, a yoga studio, and place to buy/sell/trade music. (more on that last place later...let's just say I am mustering up courage to put together a show...)

This on is from last year sometime. Ah, the many emotions of talking on the phone.
The weekend is shaping up to be full of good stuff. Dinner tonight with friends, holiday party and a photography lecture on Saturday. And maybe just some hanging out on Sunday, perhaps I will get myself to a yoga class. I am also planning on getting everything together and ready for posting for the "where y'at" swap. I have already started to get a couple in the mail and am really excited about this swap. I have to come up with the +1 part, but I am sure something will come to me.

Oh yeah, it snowing out-Finally-

It's Friday, go hop in a booth with people you don't know- it makes for a good story.
We met these boys, who called each other "girls" ( their term, not ours) in Portland- way back in august.
There happened to be a block party happening on the street infront of the Ace Hotel where we were staying.
We finally talked them into heading to the booth with us.
I can't help but show the entire strip at once. so good.

a little magic

a little magic can happen in a day of touring around town (PDX to be exact)
